Visit early, and visit often.

A new development: I've added a hit counter to my blog out of sheer curiosity. I probably can count the number of site visitors on my fingers -- it tracks unique visitors, not visits, so "early" and "often" don't actually apply -- but I thought I'd best monitor my reading audience. After all, you never know when the Pew Research Center is going to come knocking at my (virtual) door. I've already had a call from Gallup: they're collecting information on the number of blogs that take up space better allotted to another cause.
