So quipped my friend Nicole, upon being asked what she did professionally. Then again, her stock response to any question is, "X is for the poor." Sometimes she interchanges her retorts with, "Y is women's work." Ah, Nicole.
But regardless of whom exactly work is for, I am finished with it for the summer! Yesterday was my last day, and I celebrated with a glorious sleep until mid-morning. Now, I am faced with the task of keeping two seven-pound dogs from threatening a full-grown black Lab. They're not too bright. Fortunately for everyone involved, the Lab is very mild mannered.
And on that note, I'm off to enjoy my life of leisure!
