"Drill, baby, drill."

Just kidding. I was simultaneously amused and frightened when the crowd began chanting that during Governor Palin's speech. I suppose at least that was a somewhat novel chant; the cries of "USA" that kept interrupting Senator McCain's speech were hardly creative.

It seems that I can't post on any topics unrelated to the election! That is what happens, I suppose, when my evenings over much of the past two weeks have been spent listening to convention speeches. It really is a rather diverting pastime -- though one that has only solidified my support for the Democratic party.

"People the world over have always been more impressed by the power of our example than by the example of our power."
